Tips for the Central Texas Gardener
The spring planting season is almost behind us, but I wanted to post this informative flyer that will save you time and money in your garden. In it you will find a list of the types of plants and ground covers that do well in the central Texas area as well as a list of some well known public viewing gardens you can visit. There is also a list of popular garden centers in the area. The summers get really hot here in Austin, and sometimes we can go for long periods without a lot of rainfall. That’s why you want to pay attention to the list so you can select plants that will thrive and not die on you. You will save money and time, and keep your frustration level down, by selecting plants native to our area.
Do you have a beautiful garden you would like to share? If yes, send me your photo and I’ll post it on HomeSweetHomeAustin.com.
Good luck!
