Terrice & Richard: Relocation Buyer
Terrice and Richard were looking for a permanent home for their children in a great neighborhood. A family of four with previous roots to Austin, they had been away to pursue Richard’s education and training, and had recently relocated back to Austin.
Their children were established in a local school, and Richard worked in an area close-by, with ties to their church.
Frustrated by doing it themselves, finding a good home in a good neighborhood and within the family budget led Terrice to the point of giving up several times. Homes within a certain price point were not inviting – they were old, run down, cheaply constructed, many times the neighborhood was not considered safe for young children, and they were limited to a certain area. Their search was limited to a certain section of Cedar Park and within very strict budget guidelines. Working with founder Janet Cloudt, she was determined to find them a home, and encouraged them not to give up.
In less than 60 days, Janet found them a great house in a spectacular neighborhood that only needed a few updates to make the home theirs.
Janet helped negotiate closing costs as part of the contract, so that Terrice and Richard got into their home for very little out-of-pocket expense. Janet also recommended providers to help them select current paint colors and the workers to get the home painted at an affordable price.
