Because there really is no place like home

My Allandale Story

I grew up on Carrie Drive in Allandale. I loved that neighborhood so much that I actually rented a house on Carlisle when I moved back to Austin after college. It’s quiet, peaceful, and the incredible neighbors make it one of the most unique places to be in Austin. The only thing to be wary of as a homebuyer is the foundation issues due to the clay. Some homes in Allandale may need foundation corrections. I’d recommend bringing a marble with you on home tours. If a house gives you that unbalanced feeling, let the marble roll. You’re probably right. And with that said, Allandale is WORTH any foundation repair, if needed. If you like to bike, take your dog to the park, send your kids to one of the best elementary schools in Austin — Allandale must make it on your home search!! It’s close to great restaurants and shops, and close to friends north, south, east or west. It’s got a special look and feel to the homes — from the lion fences to the 50s kitchens and single-story ranch homes. I feel so lucky to have spent my childhood in such an amazing neighborhood of Central Austin, TX. Check it out!
