Mississippi Mud: best dessert EVER!

You will either love me or hate me for this crowd pleaser. My cousin Betty makes this for every family reunion, and it is to die for!!!

Mississippi Mud

1 cup flour

1 stick butter

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup powdered sugar

1 8 oz package cream cheese

2 teaspoons vanilla

1 large container Cool Whip

1 large box Instant Chocolate Pudding

2 cups cold milk

First Layer – Melt the butter and mix with the flour, add pecans. Spread on the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

Cool completely.

Second Layer – Cream together powdered sugar and cream cheese. Add1 teaspoon vanilla. Fold in 1 cup of the Cool Whip. Carefully spread over the cooled crust. Chill.

Third Layer – Mix chocolate pudding mix and milk. Add the milk a little at a time. You want this layer thick. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Spread over the chilled layers. Chill. Top with remaining Cool Whip.
