Let’s go to Hula Hut!

Looking for somewhere uniquely Austin? Hula Hut is the place to go! You can find it down on Lake Austin Boulevard. There aren’t very many restaurants that can boast being right on Lake Austin. The view awesome, the ambiance is unusual (Hawaiian/Polynesian), and the food is incredible! My absolute favorite is the pipeline chicken enchiladas. They are made with corn tortillas and white meat chicken, but the best part is the queso blanco sauce they put on top. Yum! The servings are so big that I always ask them to give me half of it to go. Two meals for the price of one! The only drawback is the parking. There is limited parking near the restaurant and the alternative is up a super steep hill. They do have a shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off up the hill and they often have valet parking if you are willing to pay a little extra. I usually try to go at off times to avoid the parking hassle and so I don’t have to wait for a table. Regardless, it is ALWAYS worth it!
