Forbes: Austin best economic recovery in U.S.

In March 2010, Forbes announced that Austin tied for number 1 with Washington, D.C., as the cities where the recession was easing the most. This designation was attributed to the highest job growth between December 2007 and December 2009 and the second highest predicted job growth (8.09%) for the next three years. A stable housing market also helped Austin, as well as San Antonio, Dallas and Houston.
